Alfred W. Topping Jr. of Afton, New York, and formerly of Bridgehampton, died on May 9 in Afton.

Mr. Topping’s humor, spirit and love of all things farm-related will be missed by all who knew him, his family said.

The family wished to thanks everyone who helped them in dealing with the loss.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on June 11 at Edgewood Cemetery in Bridgehampton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Topping’s name may be made to the New York State Fireman’s Home, 125 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson, N.Y. 12534; or the Hudson Valley Draft Horse Association, in care of Treasurer Linda Smith, 540 South Ohionville Road, New Paltz, N.Y. 12561.
