Poppies for Sale to Commemorate Fallen Soldiers

Members of the Sag Harbor American Legion Auxiliary will be selling handmade poppies along the Memorial Day parade route. Each year the American Legion Auxiliary offers the memorial poppies made by disabled veterans. Disabled and hospitalized veterans make the official American Legion poppy throughout the year in hospitals and special convalescent workshops maintained by Auxiliary volunteers. Working with their hands provides physical and psychological therapy as well as a small income for those veterans.
