At the end of last week, the New York State Union of Teachers (NYSUT) announced that it was calling for “bell-to-bell” restrictions on cellphones and other personal devices in schools. The Sag Harbor Community Rowing Club will hold its second annual Paddle Poker event on Saturday, October 5, beginning at Cove Park off Redwood Road in Sag Harbor at 3 p.m. Open to rowers, kayakers and paddle boarders, the event will raise funds to help build a rowing dock at the end of Cove Road.
