Barbara F. Jones of West Palm Beach, Florida and Southampton died on July 10. She was 73.
Born on November 23, 1946, Ms. Jones was one of eight children.
She was a legal secretary in Southampton, then became a Florida real estate agent before buying The Tropical Inn, a wine and beer establishment in Lantana, where she lived for over 30 years.
She was charitable and enjoyed playing golf. Ms. Jones was well-known for her philanthropy and was an avid animal lover, her family said.
She was active in the Florida Fraternal Order of Eagles, the American Legion, and VFW Post #5335.
She was predeceased by her husbands Ken Jones and Hilton Winters; her sisters Veronica Brents, Ellen Trocchio, and Jeanette Pryor; a brother, Daniel Foley; her parents John and Ann Foley; and one niece.
She is survived by three sisters, Patricia Mott of West Palm Beach, Joan O’Donoghue of Southampton, and Evelyn Gregory of Cornelius, North Carolina; eight nephews and six nieces.
A future memorial service will be held.
