Benjamin M. Rosko Jr. of Eastport died on April 15, 2022. He was 68. He is survived by his children, Benjamin M. Rosko III (Ruth) and Jennifer Rosko; and siblings Laura and Beverley.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Scott-Rothwell Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. Burial was at Eastport Cemetery.

Hampton Bays Man Arrested After 3-Hour Standoff With Police

Southampton Town Police arrested a Hampton Bays man Saturday night after a 3-hour standoff with police, who believed him to be armed, at a Springville Road home. Police say they were called shortly after 8 p.m. with a report that a man was menacing another person in the house with a firearm. At their last meeting, Southampton Village trustees heard ideas for significantly altering Somerset Avenue in order to decrease through traffic during the afternoon commute.
