Beyond Belief

Hard to believe. Is it just stupidity? Is it ignorance? Is it total lack of understanding of science, construction and reality?

There is and never has been a problem with radiation from cell towers [“Group of Residents Opposed to Cell Tower in Sagaponack Hire Legal Representation,” 27east.com, October 23]. Again, those towers are on hundreds of apartment houses, in church towers, on hospitals and government buildings.

Loaves & Fishes is over a football field away. You get more from your cellphone and television, and that is almost unmeasurable.

Lives — all of Sagaponack, and probably parts of Wainscott and Bridgehampton — are at stake when they cannot reach fire, police, ambulances, plumbers, contractors, etc., without cellphone service.

Claiming 12 pages of those who object? They cannot be from Sagaponack residents, since there are 700 Sagaponack resident emails asking for the tower, and that number is more than residents of the village.

The 12 pages must have one name each, and mostly from out of the village, other than the one next door. And, by the way, that tower cannot and will not ever fall on that one complainer.

Causing legal and other expenses and aggravations in this matter is so absurd it is beyond belief.
