SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Police are assisting in the investigation of the whereabouts of a painting valued at $500,000. The painting was turned over to a major local gallery with several locations, including Sag Harbor, in 2023. The gallery owner told police that the painting had been shipped to Florida, where a prospective buyer was ready to purchase it, but that then the buyer backed out of the deal.
