Carol (né Carol Ann Davonski) Bruno died on February 7 at her home in Westhampton Beach. She was 84.

She was born on December 27, 1938, in Southampton, to John and Sophie (né Zebrowski) Davonski.

She was an avid gardener and a lifelong resident of the greater Westhampton Beach area.

She was predeceased by her husband Vincenzo James Bruno. She is survived by her children Karen and husband Robert, James and wife Dominique; her grandchildren, Kaitlin McAleavey and husband Charles, Courtney Hewlett, Stephanie Bruno and James “Jimmy” Bruno; and her great-granddaughter Madison.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in the spring.

Southampton Inn's Resort Hotel Plan Gets Green Light From Village Board; More Approvals Needed

The Southampton Inn owner’s plan for a resort hotel off Hill Street received a green light from the Southampton Village Board last week in a 4-1 vote. The Southampton Village Board heard mixed reviews last week regarding two proposed village laws, one that would establish a tax exemption for historic properties and another to require a village permit before a homeowner may remove a tree over a certain size from within property setbacks.
