Sag Harbor native Christine Joan Corsiglia died on December 30 in Sun City Center, Florida. She was 89.

The daughter of Louis Remkus and Bessie Lassuti, she was born on April 22, 1919, in Sag Harbor, where she attended St. Andrew’s Catholic School and Pierson High School.

She married Louis Corsiglia of Staten Island in 1964; a previous marriage to Reynold Hulse of East Hampton in 1936 ended in divorce.

While in Sag Harbor, Mrs. Corsiglia was active in St. Andrew’s Altar Society, the Columbiettes and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan Feehan of Florida and Sag Harbor; a son, Reynold Hulse of Maine; six granddaughters, Deborah Schoen O’Brien of Sag Harbor, Christine Schoen Neiman of Colorado, JoAnn Schoen Scibek of Washington, and Melanie Hulse Sasscer, Lynda Hulse Pendleton and Renee Hulse, all of Florida; four grandsons, Jon Schoen of Sag Harbor, and Kristoppher Hulse, Aaron Hulse and Adam Hulse, all of Washington; and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Louis Corsiglia, who died in 1974, she was predeceased by a son, James Hulse, two sisters, Elizabeth Checchi and Sophia Finckenauer, and a brother, Louis Remkus.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. A burial mass was conducted by the Reverend Andrew Blake on January 5 at St. Andrew’s Church in Sag Harbor.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sag Harbor Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 2725, Sag Harbor, NY 11963 would be appreciated by the family.
