Deborah Ann (Howe) Jivanelli of Southampton died on March 29, after a three-year hard fought battle with cancer. She was 70.
Born on February 21, 1953, in Southampton, to Charles and Shirley Howe, she graduated from Southampton High School.
She met her husband Andrew, known better as Drew, in 1971. The day he met her, he told her “I’m going to marry you,” family recalled. They married on September 15, 1973, and lived in North Sea.
Better known as Deb or Debbie, Jivanelli started her career working at Strong Oil Company in Water Mill at the age of 15. She worked full-time until 1978. At this time, she started working part-time in order to start a family. Following Strong Oil Company, she worked at Fenlon, Crowley & Tutino. She had her own bookkeeping business, then worked for many builders and contractors, including Ironwood Construction and Ronald Webb Builders. She worked hard so she could play hard and enjoy her vacations to Barbados and Saint Martin, her family said.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew; their daughter Kelly and her girlfriend Meghan; her brother, Don Howe and his wife Diane; as well as cousins, nieces and a nephew; and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents.
A visitation was held on April 2 at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton.
