As I look at the local and national slate of Democrats for the November 2024 election, I see a singular common thread among the candidates. That thread is a strong and abiding belief in the idea of a pluralistic society.
Believers in pluralism hold the view that diversity is beneficial, that in a free democracy power should be dispersed among diverse groups, and that political parties can coexist and work collaboratively with each other to better society.
Tommy John Schiavoni, Sarah Anker, John Avalon, Tim Walz and Kamala Harris embody the ideas of pluralism, and it is why they have my vote.
I encourage all thinking Americans to vote similarly.
