Eunice L. Vaughan of Sag Harbor Dies February 27

Eunice L. Vaughan of Sag Harbor died on February 27 in Southampton. She was 98.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 6, from 10-11 a.m., with a home-going service at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Bridgehampton. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police are investigating two incidents that occurred over the weekend at a Madison Street store. First on Saturday, it was reported that a child had left her wallet in the store. When employees turned the wallet back over to the child, who was with her mother, the child discovered that $40 had been removed from the wallet. The store’s management shared with police surveillance video, which showed that the very same person who had turned the wallet in had apparently opened it first and removed the $40.
