Sag Harbor Village DWI Arrest for the Week of December 26

Thomas Woods Lawton, 23, a Sag Harbor resident, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of DWI around midnight on Friday in Sag Harbor. Sag Harbor Village Police said Lawton was driving a 2008 Prius the wrong way on Washington Street, which, the arrest report notes, is clearly marked as a one-way street. After making the traffic stop, the officer believed Lawton to be possibly intoxicated, and had him perform roadside sobriety tests, which Lawton reportedly failed. A Sag Harbor man, Brent P. Becker, 59, was arraigned in the village’s Justice Court on Friday on two felony charges of weapons possession, following a court-ordered emergency police search of his residence on December 10.
