Hampton Bays Civic Association Meeting Is March 31

The Hampton Bays Civic Association will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, March 31, at 7 p.m. at the Hampton Bays Community Center, located in the King Kullen Shopping Center. The doors will be open at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.

The association will be honoring the Hampton Bays Fire Department for its dedicated service to the community. The guest speaker will be Janice Scherer, chief planner for the Town of Southampton. She will address land use and zoning issues, including hotel zoning, status of the sewage treatment plant and downtown zoning in Hampton Bays, the comprehensive plan process and community involvement, BESS zoning, site plan development and zoning along Montauk Highway (including the former diner, new gas station, laundromat, and cannabis dispensary.

Also in attendance will be the development team that would like to present potential plans to construct a hotel on the former Boardy Barn.

CMEE To Host Family New Year's Eve Event

The Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton will ring in 2026 with a daytime New Year’s Eve celebration designed especially for young families. The museum will host its annual New Year’s Eve Bash on Wednesday, December 31, from 10 a.m. to noon.
