Isabelle Kemp of Westhampton Beach Dies November 20

Isabelle Kemp of Westhampton Beach died quietly in her sleep on November 20.

She was the wife of the late Jack Kemp.

She was very strong in her Catholic faith and a religious instructor for adults and children at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Westhampton Beach for many years. She was a registered Girl Scout from a young age, and a Girl Scout leader and Brownie leader for many years.

“Rest well, Mom, in the arms of our Lord,” her family said.

She is survived by eight children, Mary (Kemp) Tuohy and her husband John Tuohy of Arlington, Virginia, Beth (Kemp) Phillips and her partner Rick Bookamer of Westhampton, Chris (Kemp) Simon and her husband, Bob Simon of Pittsburgh, Barbie (Kemp) Sulaitis of Morro Bay, California, Marcie (Kemp) Bennett and her husband, Donnie Bennett of Speonk, Kathy (Kemp) Stomeroski and her husband Pete Stomeroski of Dover, Delaware, Charlie Kemp of Southington, Connecticut, and Ronnie Thorton of Remsemburg.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Robbie and Kyle Simon, Michael and Marybeth Ryder, Donnie Bennett, Maddy and Ian Thorton, Allie and Sam Sulaitis, Jack and Ben Stomeroski and William Kemp; nephews B.B. Kemp and his wife Cindy, Teddy Kemp and wife Jane, David Kemp and wife Christyne; nieces Peggy (Kemp) Hange and husband Steve, Ginger (Kemp) Shegogue and husband Mickey.

There will be a casket viewing at 10:30 a.m. on December 2 in the vestibule of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. A Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Westhampton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in her memory to the USA Veterans, Girl Scouts or the Catholic Church.
