Jane Corbin Post Of Quogue Dies January 14

Jane Corbin Post of Quogue died on January 14, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was 84.

Mrs. Post was the daughter of Rachel Stover and Alfred Emerson Corbin of Upper Montclair, New Jersey, where she was raised. She was the widow of George Birkbeck Post Jr., a descendant of Capt. John Post, a member of one of the original 13 founding families of the Village of Quogue. Mrs. Post was a member of the Westhampton Presbyterian Church on Quiogue, a member of the Quogue Field Club, Quogue Beach Club, Shinnecock Yacht Club, New York Yacht Club, Junior League of Long Island and Westhampton Garden Club.

Her survivors include two children, Gardner Howell Post and Charlotte Stover Post; and four grandchildren, Corbin Virginia Chase, Lucy Natalie Chase, Georgianna Birkbeck Chase, and S. Luke Chase III.

A memorial service will be held April 14, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Westhampton Presbyterian Church, with a reception to follow at the Quogue Field Club. A private interment service will be held at the Quogue Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Westhampton Presbyterian Church, 90 Meeting House Road, Westhampton Beach, New York 11978.
