Jane Delaire of West Palm Beach Florida, and formerly of Water Mill, died on October 10, 2023, in Trust Bridge Hospice in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She was 80.

She was born in Morristown, New Jersey, to Alvin Delaire and Anne Kelly on September 5, 1943.

She earned an associate’s degree from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.

She was a homemaker, and had many interests and hobbies including interior design, antique furniture, and music and dancing. She was an avid reader, a master of crossword puzzles, and highly skilled at needlepoint. She had a sharp sense of humor and wit. She had a keen eye for fashion and her love of clothing brought her much joy.

She is survived by her brother, Sonny Delaire and his wife Carole of West Palm Beach, Florida; her three daughters, Kelly McBride Wright of Geneva, Switzerland, Leslie McBride Ege of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, and Robyn McBride of San Diego, California; seven grandchildren, Phoebe Wright, Annabel Wright, Lucy Wright, Charlotte Ege, Alexandra Ege, Wylie Deuber, and Sylvie Deuber.

Her grandchildren fondly called her “Grande” (pronounced Grandy) and all summered with her in Water Mill.

The family will be hosting a private ceremony this summer.
