Joseph P. Jennings Of Quiogue Dies August 5

Joseph P. Jennings

Joseph P. Jennings of Quiogue died on Sunday, August 5, at the Westhampton Care Center following a long illness. He was 87.

Mr. Jennings grew up in 
Sunnyside, Queens, and was a U.S. Navy combat veteran of World War II. He graduated from Fordham University, which he attended with help from 
the G.I. Bill. He was employed by the City of New York for many years.

He retired to the Westhampton Beach area nearly 30 years ago, although he continued to work for many years at Rock Hill Golf Club. He loved golf and most other sports, reading, and all of nature, especially his dogs, most recently Annabel.

A memorial was held on August 9 at the Immaculate Conception Church on Quiogue. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery at a later date.

Falsehoods

The recent falsehoods and attacks by certain Hampton Bays community members in The Southampton Press Letters to the Editor section needs to be called out and corrected. End the Embargo

I read the viewpoint “Cuba Teeters on the Brink of Collapse” [Opinion, December 12], and I didn’t find any mention of the 64-year-old embargo on Cuba.
