Kenneth W. Miller

Kenneth W. Miller of East Quogue died on Thursday, November 30, 2017, surrounded by his family while listening to two of his favorite songs by Eric Clapton, “River of Tears” and “Wonderful Tonight.” He was 75.

Ken Miller was a loving husband, father and father-in-law, a playful grandfather, a funny brother and dependable, sweet uncle. Survivors said he was a loyal friend who never hesitated to help anybody who needed it. He loved to tell jokes to anybody who would listen and would even laugh at his own jokes. His sense of humor was very funny in the “Ken” way.

Mr. Miller was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 25 on Long Island. He loved playing his electric and acoustic guitars along with listening to some of his favorite artists, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones. A very happy place for him was simply riding on his John Deere lawn mower, survivors said.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia (Babcock), oldest daughter, Dawn Miller Colontonio and husband Marc of Bellport, and daughter, Faith Miller DiMuzio of Oceanside, two grandchildren, Ava and Jake, and a brother, Checko Miller of Rosendale. Also surviving are two nephews, three nieces and his faithful dog, Buddy.

He was predeceased by his parents, Chester and Jean Miller, and a brother, David Miller.

Cremation was under the direction of the Moloney-Sinnicksons Funeral & Cremation Center in Center Moriches.
