Laura M. Cerutti Of Southampton Dies November 27

Laura M. Cerutti of Southampton and Manhattan died on November 27 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She was 87 and died shortly after surgery to repair a broken hip.

Ms. Cerutti was born Laura Maria Ciuti-Parenti in Florence, Italy, on May 31, 1926. While attending the University of Florence and just after World War II, she met and fell in love with Louis Cerutti, then a colonel in the U.S. Army and serving with the OSS. They married and lived in Rome for a time before moving to the United States.

Ms. Cerutti helped manage Cerutti’s children’s shop on Madison Avenue in New York City with her two sisters-in-law, Doris and Anita Cerutti.

She is survived by two of her three children, Frank Louis and Donna Patricia; her oldest daughter, Anita Beatrice, predeceased her. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Charlotte, Andrew, Alda, Matthew, Luke and Allegra; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was said at Saint Ignatius Loyola in Manhattan on November 30, followed by interment at the Basilica Parish of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Cemetery in Southampton.
