Lawrence Mathew McMahon Dies September 9

Lawrence Mathew McMahon of Sag Harbor died on September 9, 2019, of pneumonia. He was 33.

Mr. McMahon grew up in Sag Harbor and moved to Shirley in 2018, where he managed four houses for the New Beginnings Properties. He was the middle child of 11. Survivors said he enjoyed spending time with his father, John, and his mother, Kathy, his sister, Kim, and his brothers, William, Patrick, Daniel, and Benjamin. He also loved spending time with his two rottweilers, Tyson and Bear. He was passionate about bringing awareness to those affected by addiction. He started a fundraiser called Close to Home and spent many hours reaching out to those in need.

Mr. McMahon was interred alongside his grandparents at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Southampton.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of January 30

Lucia Macario-Morales, 38, of Westhampton was arrested by Southampton Town Police at about 11:15 p.m. on January 24 and charged with felony aggravated DWI after being pulled over on County Road 39 for, police said, driving erratically and failing to stop at a stop sign. A check of DMV records revealed that her driver’s license was suspended and that she was required to have an interlock device installed on her vehicle.
