On July 15, my husband was powerwalking along Route 114 at 11:30 a.m. when he collapsed from heat stroke. A woman, or, I should say, an angel, stopped her car and loaded a bloodied, almost unconscious person into her car so that he wouldn’t get hit by oncoming traffic. She called 911 and waited until the ambulance arrived.
She then tracked me down in the Long Beach parking lot and escorted me to the ambulance.
In my total fear and shock, I did not even get her name so that I could give her the proper thank you for possibly saving his life.
At times like this, you realize how much good there is in the world.
If you are out there and reading this I am sending love and all good things your way.
We cannot thank you enough.

“Picklers Unite for a Cause” thank yous [Sports & Outdoors, October 17] had one glaring omission: Kerry Calvert, one of the hardest-working players to build fun in the pickleball community on the East End, was not mentioned. She has been...

Clean water is on the ballot this Election Day, and we urge Southampton Town residents to flip the ballot and vote yes for Proposition 2, and Proposition 3, the clean water questions. After more than a decade of research, scientists...
As Halloween approaches, it’s impossible not to see the eerie similarities between the spooky season and the administration of Southampton Village Mayor Bill Manger. Halloween is a time for costumes, trick-or-treating and — if you’re not careful — a few...

Hard to believe. Is it just stupidity? Is it ignorance? Is it total lack of understanding of science, construction and reality? There is and never has been a problem with radiation from cell towers [“Group of Residents Opposed to Cell...
