Margaret Timoney Bohner, formerly of Westhampton Beach, died on December 14, 2019, surrounded by her children, at Peconic Landing in Greenport. Born February 6, 1931, in New York City, she was raised in Manhasset and summered in Westhampton Beach before later moving to Westhampton Beach full time. She recently moved to Peconic Landing.

A gifted artist, she was a member and president of the Manhasset Art Association. She was an early advocate of recycling and sustainable living. Survivors describe her as a gentle and loving soul, and said her smile and laugh were infectious.

Predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Bill, she is survived by a brother, John Timoney; and sister Susie O’Neil; and seven children, Susan LaVista, Will Bohner, Mimi Dunn, Mark Bohner, Bob Bohner, Laura Bohner and Tricia Bohner; and 10 grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Additional information may be found at wernerrothwell.com.
