Born on June 12, 1937, at Southampton Hospital to William Bangs Platt Jr. and Edith Margaret Guldi Platt, she married Thomas Walter Eeves Joyce Jr. on November 29, 1958. Her career began as an educator and finished as an antique shop proprietor, having been the founder and manager of Another Time Antiques shop in the Village of Southampton for over 25 years; her husband joined her in the business when he retired.
Ms. Joyce was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of the Basilica Church of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary where she was married, and her mother, Edith Guldi Platt, played the organ for more than 40 years.
In 2014, she and her husband moved to the Riderwood Retirement Community in Silver Spring, Maryland, where they were also members of the Church of the Resurrection, but she always looked forward to being back in Southampton enjoying the sunshine.
Ms. Joyce was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Joyce, on July 6, 2018; and her brother, William Platt III, on November 20, 2011.
