Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr. recently announced that the Amagansett Free Library, Hampton Bays Public Library, and Rogers Memorial Library are among the libraries that have been awarded state aid to support construction projects. The annual Ride & Wine event to benefit i-tri is set for Saturday, October 5. The ride will start at 10:30 a.m. at Scoville Hall in Amagansett with two routes planned: 34 miles and 13 miles. Both will end at Scoville with a lunch and wine tasting afterward. The Amagansett start and finish are a change from the past events, which were held in Bridgehampton. ARF’s annual Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk will take place on Sunday, October 6. Hamptons Observatory Has Two Lectures Planned

The Hamptons Observatory has virtual lectures planned in October and November. The October 15 lecture will be by Dr. Jason Williams, a project scientist for NASA’s Cold Atom Lab on the International Space Station.
