No, mass transit is not the answer, except for people who work in the villages proper [“Stuck in Gridlock,” Editorial, November 7]. All you have to do is observe the trade parade on Routes 27 and 39 to see that it is made up of vans delivering goods and trucks loaded with the tools of the drivers’ trades. None of that would be changed by mass transit. It’s another NIMBY fantasy.
