The Steve Tarpinian Memorial Mighty Hamptons Triathlon, established in 1982, saw 314 athletes cross the finish line at this year’s race at Long Beach in Noyac on Sunday.

The triathlon includes a 1.5K out-and-back swim along the shore of Noyac Bay, a 40K bike ride that includes a few rolling hills that takes you through the woodland and farm roads of Sag Harbor, and a flat and fast 10K run through the streets of North Haven.

William Huffman, 29, won the race in 2:04:22, while Austin Quinn, 27, placed second in 2:05:37. Tim Steiskal, 32, placed third overall in 2:06:16, then Jodie Robertson, 37, was the first female to cross the finish line in 2:08:08. Cheryl Regan, 44, was the second female to finish in 2:08:08 and Anna Carlson, 39, finished third among women in 2:20:29.

A total prize purse of $3,300 was awarded to the top three males and females. First place finishers received $1,000 each, second place finishers received $400 each and third place finishers each took home $250.
