Part-time Sag Harbor resident Anita Louise Cloutier de la Garza Heller dies at 72

Anita Heller

Anita Louise Cloutier de la Garza Heller of Naples, Florida, died on July 25 at her vacation home in Sag Harbor, after a five-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 72.

She is survived by her husband, Peter E. Heller of Florida and Sag Harbor, a son, Luis de la Garza of New York City; three daughters, Ana Luisa de la Garza, Julia de la Garza and Andrée de la Garza, all of New York City; and two granddaughters, Alexandra Walsh and Madeleine Walsh.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Alexander M. de la Garza, MD; and a son, Alexander M. de la Garza II.

Funeral services—under the arrangement of Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton—will be held on Saturday, July 31, at 1 p.m., at Most Holy Trinity Church in East Hampton. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heartshare, Cuite Residence, c/o Ana Luisa de la Garza, 535 Dean Street, #808, Brooklyn, NY 11217 would be appreciated by the family.

Southampton DWI Arrest for the Week of January 23

Keith O’Hea, 58, of Noyac was arrested at about 7:30 p.m. on January 18 in Sagaponack and charged with DWI after a Southampton Town Police officer saw him disobey a stop sign at the intersection of Sagg Road and Narrow Lane. When pulled over, the officer reported that O’Hea was slurring his words and was unsteady on his feet when asked to exit the vehicle.
