Peter Anthony Kerner of Scituate, Massachusetts, formerly of Westhampton, died on November 19, surrounded by family, after a long battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was 68.
Born in New York City on April 18, 1946, he grew up in Westhampton Beach and lived in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He was a successful executive in the athletic and footwear industry.
Survivors said he was a sailor, a patriot, and a friend to many. He was inspirational and passionate in his beliefs, they said.
Mr. Kerner is survived by his wife, Beth; a sister, Suzy; five daughters, Jennifer Chamberlain and husband Toby, Heather Haddick and husband Jason, Pipere Sailer and husband Mike, Addie Kerner and Skyler Kerner; and seven grandchildren, T.J., Zack, Oliver, Peter, Ali, Garrett and Anders. He was predeceased by another grandson, Benjamin.
