The Jewish community of the East End and its allies attended a vigil at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons in East Hampton on Wednesday evening.
The vigil was in response to the surprise attack on Israel by Hamas soldiers on Saturday.
On Wednesday, hundreds of people attended the vigil, including rabbis and members of five area synagogues and other faith leaders, to demonstrate solidarity with the people of Israel and those local residents affected by the attack.
