Pierson sophomore Savannah Romano has excelled at the flute. She recently won a Prestigious competition featuring the top high school flute players on Long Island. She is the principal flute player for the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, and will perform with that group at Carnegie Hall in May.

SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Police were called to a boutique on Main Street late last Thursday afternoon where the shop owner said three teens had gone on a shoplifting spree, stealing several pieces of jewelry valued at a little over $200. When police arrived, two of the teens were still in the store, while the third was across the street. An officer escorted the teen who was outside the store back inside.
