SOUTHAMPTON VILLAGE — A Halsey Neck Lane resident reported to police that a woman with dark brown hair, wearing sweatpants, had stopped her car in front of the resident’s house and attempted to steal a Trump campaign sign. A New York State audit has found that, over the past five years, taxpayers living in the Southampton School District were overtaxed due to the Southampton School Board and district officials consistently underestimating revenue and overestimating expenses in the annual budgets, while accumulating $21.6 million in cash reserves.
