Born to Vernon and Ellenor Hann on November 10, 1948, he was a lifelong resident of Westhampton. After graduating from high school, he attended Suffolk County Community College, earning a degree in mechanical engineering prior to joining the family business, RG Hann & Son Inc., where he worked until retirement.
A beloved member of the Westhampton community, he devoted much of his free time throughout his life to several local groups including volunteering with the chain gang at the local Westhampton Beach Hurricanes football games for over three decades.

An accomplished wood carver and artist, he was the recipient of many Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition ribbons in Ocean City, Maryland, placing first, second and third for his decorative decoys.
He was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Westhampton Beach, where he served as a trustee and deacon.
He was an avid racing enthusiast. RG Hann sponsored many modified race cars, and he spent many weekends at Riverhead Raceway with the pit crew. Another great passion included being a lifelong New York Yankees superfan.
“Raymond’s generous and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him,” his family said.
