Robert O’Shea of Southampton, formerly of Water Mill, died on January 6, 2018. He was 84.
The son of Alice and Vincent J. O’Shea, he moved with his family to Douglaston in 1938, attended P.S. 98 and graduated from Bayside High School. In 1955, he graduated from Fordham University, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany, and eventually attaining the rank of captain.
Before he retired 30 years ago, he worked as a national credit manager for Standard Milling Company. In retirement, he enjoyed carving wooden hunting decoys.
Mr. O’Shea is survived by a brother, Kenneth O’Shea of Southampton. He was predeceased by a sister, Ann Keefe; and two brothers, William and Vincent O’Shea.
