SOUTHAMPTON VILLAGE — A Wooley Street homeowner called Village Police on December 17 to report a break-in at his unoccupied house that he had witnessed through his Ring camera. The man told police that camera footage showed two men go up to the front door of the house at about 8:30 a.m., then go around the house to the backyard and enter through an unlocked rear door, setting off a burglar alarm. Edgar Plaza-Tacuri, 28, of Southampton was arrested by Southampton Town Police at about 2 a.m. on Sunday, December 22, and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, after he was pulled over on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays for violating multiple traffic laws. Edwin Ajcuctocay, 37, of Hampton Bays was arrested at about 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, and charged by Town Police with DWI, a misdemeanor, after he was pulled over School Street in Hampton Bays by an officer responding to a report of an erratic driver.
