Hampton Bays Elementary School recently held its third annual science fair at STEAM Night. During the event, students showcased their science fair projects and explored activities related to STEAM. Activities such as the Code & Go Robot Mouse, tangrams, Crazy Circuits, wood burning and recycled planters gave students hands-on opportunities to engage with STEAM concepts in fun and interactive ways. From their observations and research, the students wrote and published opinion pieces on why Jackie and Shadow are great parents. They also sketched the eagles and their nest. Facilitated by the school’s Wellness Committee, the day included stations related to mindfulness, meditation, yoga, nutrition and physical health awareness, team building, friendship and kindness.
