During Women’s History Month, Bridgehampton School fourth graders learned about important women in history and their impact on the world. Eighth graders in Christina Duryea’s home and careers class at Southampton Intermediate School were recently certified in CPR and first aid through instruction provided by Joe Hurley of the Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance. They learned how to properly perform the Heimlich maneuver and chest compressions and operate an AED on adults and children. For the 27th year, members of Shakespeare and Company, based in Massachusetts, have returned to Hayground School to stage a canonical work by Shakespeare with the students.
