During Women’s History Month, Bridgehampton School fourth graders learned about important women in history and their impact on the world. Students dug deep into the obstacles and challenges women faced based on the time period and different character traits they had to help them succeed. COURTESY BRIDGEHAMPTON SCHOOL DISTRICT
Eighth graders in Christina Duryea’s home and careers class at Southampton Intermediate School were recently certified in CPR and first aid through instruction provided by Joe Hurley of the Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance. They learned how to properly perform the Heimlich maneuver and chest compressions and operate an AED on adults and children. The Bridgehampton Elementary School Student Council made good on campaign promises, brining back chocolate milk back to the cafeteria, in addition to real plates and utensils.
