Raynor Country Day School took first place in the Youth Float category at Saturday's annual St. Patrick's Day parade in Westhampton Beach.
Bridgehampton High School seniors Ayanna El and Grace Turza were named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively of the Class of 2022. The students were recently honored by, from left (not included the Killer Bee) Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mary T. Kelly, Grace Turza and Ayanna El, Assistant Principal Michael Cox and guidance counselor Ryan Barker.
The Bridgehampton School National Junior Honor Society members, under adviser Maria Bouzos-Reilly, right, were instrumental in supporting the efforts of ILoveUkraine.org, founded by East End resident Natalie Massa, left, in response to the humanitarian disaster in the land of her birth, where her family and school friends are in need of basic necessities.
Hampton Bays High School Key Club members recently helped to prepare 90 quarts of soup for those in need.
The Hampton Bays High School Class of 2022 recently participated in a senior trip to Woodloch Pines in the Poconos, Pennsylvania. On the trip, the 06 students competed in a variety of team building games.

Several Southampton High School students recently attended the WVI Dolphin Foundation’s Leadership and Life Skills Mentorship Program in Brooklyn, where they heard from two-time NFL Super Bowl winner Perry Williams.
Southampton High School junior Chloe Phillips, a first-year nursing student at the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology, took third place in the nurse assisting category at the New York State SkillsUSA Regional Competition. Her win has secured her a place in the NYS SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Championships that will take place in April in Syracuse.
Seventh-graders at Southampton Intermediate School have been coding educational robots called Ozobots to demonstrate their knowledge of Lois Lowry’s novel “The Giver,” which they are reading in English language arts classes. Librarian Michelle Antonucci demonstrated how to program the robots by drawing lines and different colors on paper. Based on the novel’s theme of a dystopian society in which all aspects of life are controlled, the students drew up maps of their own dystopias and controlled their Ozobots based on different laws they created within groups.
