Members of the Southampton Elementary School Garden Club have been learning about growing herbs and several varieties of lettuce. Westhampton Beach Elementary School students recently participated in a meet and greet with their school’s new school resource officers, Mark Yakabowski of the Westhampton Beach Village Police and Tony Vecchio of the Southampton Police Department. During the event, the officers visited each classroom, introduced themselves, and answered myriad questions from students about their jobs, favorite foods, favorite colors and more.
