Hampton Bays High School seniors Brianna Quiros and Liam Sutton were recently honored by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance
as winners of the Suffolk Zone Award. The seniors were selected based on their outstanding character, exceptional leadership in the school environment, and status as a physical fitness role model for other students. Quiros, a member of the Hampton Bays volleyball team, will be attending Quinnipiac University in the fall. Westhampton Beach High School seniors, dressed in their best, learned more about
the careers they hope to pursue during the 19th annual Senior Skills Breakfast held at the
Westhampton Country Club on May 19.
During the breakfast, over 40 area professionals served as mentors and  shared their knowledge, experience and advice. Fields represented included medicine, science, engineering, film and finance. The event was planned by the Westhampton Beach Business Advisory Committee and sponsored by the Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce, Westhampton Kiwanis and First National Bank. Scholarships Available for Students Pursuing Health Care Education

The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation has expanded its student scholarship program and will now award two scholarships in 2025. The health care education scholarships will award $2,500 per year of study to two graduating high school seniors in the Town of East Hampton who will be pursuing a health care education at a two-year technical school or four-year college. Special consideration will be given to applicants in the BOCES nursing program who are intending to work in health care in East Hampton Town after graduation. The Westhampton Beach School District is now registering children for the 2025-26 school year. To be eligible, students must be 5 years old as of December 1, 2025.
