A new Unified PE class at Hampton Bays High School brings together students of all ability levels.
As part of their social studies curriculum, Hampton Bays Elementary School fourth grade students recently visited the American Legion Post 924. During the tour, the students heard from local veterans about their experiences in the military and why it’s important to honor veterans and thank the brave men and women who served and continue to serve.

The Southampton High School Patriot Club, in partnership with the Southampton Elementary School Student Council, recently hosted an appreciation dinner for local veterans.

Hampton Bays veterans were honored during the second annual Veterans Day car parade at Hampton Bays Elementary School on November 10. Wearing red, white and blue and waving American flags and pompoms, the district’s fourth graders lined the school’s traffic circle to cheer on the veterans as patriotic music played in the background. The celebratory parade culminated a week of learning about the importance of Veterans Day. Throughout the week, the students visited the American Legion and wrote songs, poems and essays about the meaning of Veterans Day.

The Southampton Intermediate School will be performing the musical "The Little Mermaid" at Southampton High School. Show times are Thursday and Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 6:30 p.m. Admission is free. DANA SHAW
