As part of the unit of study, the students created their own turkey recipe and discussed the steps needed to create the perfect Thanksgiving bird. “Students really enjoyed creating their own silly yet delicious recipes,” said McDermott. In honor of National Recovery Month, the Town of Southampton Addiction, Recovery and Behavioral Health Committee is seeking entries for an upcoming visual art exhibition, “The Art of Healing,” which is set to take place on Saturday, September 21, from 3 to 6 p.m. at East End Arts, 141 East Main Street in Riverhead. Elmira College recently announced this year’s recipients of its annual Key Award. Among the recipients are Anthony Petersohn and James Wolfe, both of East Hampton.
