Hampton Bays High School students Christian Cruz and Brianna Quiros earned national recognition through the College Board’s National Hispanic Recognition Program. To earn the recognition, the students were required to hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher, excel on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 exams, or earn a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams. Westhampton Beach Middle School seventh graders in Camille Pedersen’s class are researching and designing the perfect school. The students are exploring color theory, curriculum, optimal learning hours and many other aspects of education. They also interviewed Anthony Martino, head of buildings, grounds and security. As part of Fire Prevention Week, Westhampton Beach Elementary School students participated in fire safety lessons with members of the Westhampton Beach Fire Department. Students learned about general fire safety, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers and practiced calling 911 and jumping out the window of the fire
department’s smoke house simulator.

Eastport-South Manor Junior-Senior High School senior Benjamin Isaacson received a merit scholarship from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute scholarship for being distinguished in the areas of mathematics and science. Scholarships Available for Students Pursuing Health Care Education

The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation has expanded its student scholarship program and will now award two scholarships in 2025.
