Southampton Intermediate School marked Unity Day on October 21, as well as the day following, with staff and students wearing orange shirts and masks. The two-day event, spearheaded by the guidance department, also encouraged everyone to write something positive about themselves on a paper strip that would be included in a “chain of unity” displayed in the school’s lobby.

To raise awareness about breast cancer, members of the Westhampton Beach High School National Honor Society sponsored a Wear Pink to School campaign. On October 22 and 23, all students were encouraged to wear pink in acknowledgment of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
