Southampton Elementary School students in grades pre-K to 3 learned about fire safety from the Southampton Fire Department on Oct. 22. Southampton Intermediate School marked Unity Day on October 21, as well as the day following, with staff and students wearing orange shirts and masks. The two-day event, spearheaded by the guidance department, also encouraged everyone to write something positive about themselves on a paper strip that would be included in a “chain of unity” displayed in the school’s lobby. To raise awareness about breast cancer, members of the Westhampton Beach High School National Honor Society sponsored a Wear Pink to School campaign.
