Southampton Town Police arrested a Hampton Bays man Saturday night after a three-hour standoff with police, who believed him to be armed, at a Springville Road home. Police say they were called shortly after 8 p.m. with a report that a man was menacing another person in the house with a firearm. Southampton Town Police said that they arrested Miles Zamora, 26, shortly after 6 a.m. on Thursday following a monthslong investigation by the East End Drug Task Force. Southampton Town Police announced on Thursday that they arrested a Farmingville man in connection with the September armed robbery of a Flanders deli. Police say that Demario L. Weston Jr., 22, entered the El Quetzal Deli on Flanders Road at about noon on September 23 and pointed a gun at the clerk, demanding she hand over cash in the register.
