Rudy Ordonez Ruano, 36, of Shirley was arrested by Westhampton Beach Police on Sunday at 8:48 p.m. at the intersection of Montauk Highway and Depot Road and charged with misdemeanor DWI. Police said an officer observed the defendant failing to maintain his lane and crossing over the shoulder line. Southampton Town Police and the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help to identify two people who stole merchandise from the Macy’s department store in Hampton Bays last month. A Legal Aid Society investigator’s lawsuit brought against Southampton Village to obtain police department rules and regulations has been resolved after the police department supplied the requested documents, with redactions.
