Clemente Cuaya, 46, of Hampton Bays was arrested just after 6 p.m. on September 12 and charged with DWI following a three-car accident on Montauk Highway near West Tiana Road in Hampton Bays. Police said the drivers of two of the vehicles involved had said the third vehicle, a dark colored pickup, had fled up West Tiana Road. Xavier Cridland, 25, of Peconic was arrested by Quogue Police on September 4 at 12:29 a.m. and charged with misdemeanor DWI. Cridland was observed by Quogue Police traveling at 60 mph in a 40 mile-per-hour zone on Montauk Highway in Quogue, and after being pulled over, an investigation revealed he was driving while intoxicated, police said. DA: Riverhead Man Arrested for Firing Gun Shots Into Hampton Bays Home

A Riverhead man who police say fired five shots into a Hampton Bays home in early July was arrested on August 22 after an extensive investigation by the Southampton Town Police, Riverhead Town Police and Suffolk County district attorney’s office. The man, Lawrence Brown Jr., 26, was indicted this week on felony weapons charges, District Attorney Raymond Tierney’s office announced on Monday. He’s been ordered held on $250,000 bail. Julio Chitaynij, 36, of Westhampton Beach was arrested by Westhampton Beach Village Police on September 1 at 1:04 a.m. near 112 Montauk Highway in Westhampton Beach and was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Chitaynij was observed traveling east on Montauk Highway and failing to maintain his lane and also failing to use a turn signal, according to police.
