A Legal Aid Society investigator’s lawsuit brought against Southampton Village to obtain police department rules and regulations has been resolved after the police department supplied the requested documents, with redactions. Southampton Village Police Dispatcher Charged With Reckless Endangerment After Accidental Gun Discharge, Suspended Without Pay by Village

The Southampton Village Board voted unanimously on Tuesday to suspend for 30 days, without pay, a village dispatcher who has been on paid administrative leave since September 16 after he accidentally discharged a legally owned handgun while in a moving vehicle on September 14 in Water Mill.
