Rudy Ordonez Ruano, 36, of Shirley was arrested by Westhampton Beach Police on Sunday at 8:48 p.m. at the intersection of Montauk Highway and Depot Road and charged with misdemeanor DWI. Southampton Town Police and the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help to identify two people who stole merchandise from the Macy’s department store in Hampton Bays last month. A Legal Aid Society investigator’s lawsuit brought against Southampton Village to obtain police department rules and regulations has been resolved after the police department supplied the requested documents, with redactions. Alan Vasquez, 18, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Quogue Village Police on November 4 and charged with misdemeanor DWI. SOUTHAMPTON VILLAGE — A Cameron Street resident called Village Police on October 29 to report that he has seen several suspicious people trespassing on his property through the property’s remote camera system. Two Southampton Town Police Officers Are Suing, Claiming Discrimination

Two Southampton Town Police officers have filed separate lawsuits this fall alleging discrimination against them by department superiors over long periods of time. Both lawsuits claim that the officers, Nelson Gonzalez and John Giambone, have seen their career advancement constrained by discrimination against them by their superiors, been issued unwarranted internal punishments, been subject to verbal insults and, in the case of Giambone, a physical one.
