Susanne Mary Windels of Westhampton Beach, lead actress of East End Special Players, died peacefully with her family by her side on September 18. She was 60 years old.

She was born on February 13, 1964, at Southside Hospital in Bayshore. She graduated from Eastern Suffolk BOCES. She was a participant at IGHL and Maryhaven, and she worked at the Flowerbarn. Most importantly, she was a lead actress in the incredible East End Special Players. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is survived by her mother, Annmary Windels; her brother, John H. Windels III and his children Kristina, Jake and Emily, along with Mary Rose and her children Nina and Faith; her sister Robin Ruggiero and brother-in-law James, and their children Bella and James. She was predeceased by her father, John H. Windels Jr.

Resort Hotel Approved at 71 Hill Street in Southampton Village

Plans for a resort hotel at 71 Hill Street have received conditional approval from the Southampton Village Planning Board, clearing the final village hurdle for the project before obtaining a building permit.
